Daily Beast spotlights Perry’s Beta talk

The Daily Beast questioned Rick Perry’s choice of post-debate venue on Tuesday — the candidate spoke at Beta after verbal sparring at the Hop — and described Beta’s history of hazing and racist commentary in an article published last night. Perry’s decision to speak at a frat with a conservative Southern reputation isn’t surprising, article author Andy Ross concludes, but Beta’s recent return to campus after a ban for questionable institutional behavior does make it a risky choice as a venue for building broad political support.
